Is Quandale Dingle dead and how is he related to the meme?

On Tiktok, millions of users are eager to know more about Quandale Dingle. It had been a mystery to many how this meme came into being and got so popular. This mystery will be resolved today. 

Alongside millions of hashtags, popular videos, dance tutorials, parodies, musical edits, and songs, this meme also remained in the hype. Hence, its popularity garnered the attention of numerous users of other social media apps as well. But they’re oblivious to its origin. 

Among the memes related to the subject, the most initial one was a video posted by a TikToker. In the video, there was a login screen of a laptop showing the username Quandale Dingle. Hence, it aroused the curiosity of meme watchers and meme creators about that person. So, who is it?

Who’s Quandale Dingle?

Quandale Dingle is a high school footballer under Pennsauken high. That was the person whose PC login was featured on the Goofy Ahh Shitpost Memes. In Pennsauken Indians, his number is 25. On November 12, 2021, Pennsauken played against Millville Thunderbolts, QBC uploaded a video of the game on YouTube. That video had Dingle in the shirt 25.

Origin of the meme

 On September 13, 2021, the earliest screenshot was featured on the TikTok app. TikTok user @asapfeet posted the PC login username with a black text box on top of the video captioned, “Who tf goofy a** is this bruh”. Just like the old memes, this one got popular in a ridiculous way. 

The first post got reported by many (18,600 views) and hence, it became a norm for TikTokers to post a meme related to the name. On the same day, a Twitter user @slahafilm posted a screenshot of the screen. 

Spread of Quandale Dingle meme

On September 14, 2021, this meme’s cropped version was posted on Instagram and Facebook. The Facebook post got 1000 shares and 2000 reactions. A 21st-Century Humor compilation from @remsoios’ private TikTok account was reposted by Instagram[4] user memes on September 18th, 2021, gaining over 32,000 views.

Many other accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and Tiktok posted videos and pictured memes on this subject. Without a hinge, they got many reposts which inspired others to post something creative on it as well. In late 2021 and early 2022, meme creators left the name behind and started using distorted pictures of the NBA’s young players. As a consequence, a new trend was founded where TikTokers developed parody Rap TV posts about Quandale.

Does Quandale Dingle know he had become meme material?

It was expected he might have seen some memes of his name somewhere on the web. Yet, he never gave any reaction or response which made some people skeptical. Therefore, a TikToker @Fitnesscf contacted someone who knew him on March 6. That person sent Fitnesscf a picture of Quandale Footballer to confirm his existence.

Fitnesscf posted the conversation on his account and it has over 76k views on TikTok. Later, that account uploaded another video. In the video, he showed his direct conservation with a football player Quandale. Fitnesscf suggested Dingle make a TikTok account because he’ll get several supporters. 

Rap TV Parodies 

Using an image of Twitter[11] user @ayedocc sitting on a set of stairs with distorted hands and head to represent Quandale Dingle, TikToker @seggs.guy created a parody of a RapTV-style news post about Quandale Dingle. It was posted on February 12th, 2022. The video gained over 26,000 views in a month.

This kinda format soon became a staple among meme lovers. On February 14, TikToker @obitra posted another video in the news style with funny tones and it got over 300,000 views in just 2 weeks. This didn’t stop there. A few days later TikToker @obitra posted another video with a Quandale distorted photo(an edited picture of an NBA player with a contorted nose). This video got over 58,000 views in 7 days. 

After such videos, many other new creative memes about him surfaced on the internet. But one of them was rather alarming. 

2022 Death Hoax of Quandale Dingle 

Over 3.8 million views in four months were garnered by a fake RapTV headline posted by TikToker[31] @jaisvideos on April 27, 2022, announcing Quandale Dingle’s suicide. No need to panic, this was fake and only shared for humorous purposes. 

Although it started as a joke but swept like hellfire. On May 22, 2022, a Youtube channel Speedy Boykins chimed in this craze. The YouTuber posted a video from his stream where Speeds reacted to the Dingle meme jump scare version at the end. This official channel for iShowsSpeed garnered more than 5 million views on the reaction video. 

Subsequently, many others shared similar memes to it for quite some time. On August 13, 2022,  HITC[35] and SportsKeeda[36] reported on the videos. As this trend was surging and causing suspicion about its validity. Accordingly, they had to take measures and claimed that  Quandale’s death was a hoax.

Presently, the fever of this Quandale Dingle meme hadn’t toned down. It’s still being played at the hands of many web users.
